Draped in pearls, she sings a song of death
She swims around the vessel
She smells the sailor’s breath!
She calls to him so delicately
Singing him to doom
He tries not to listen
But he sees her chest festooned
Pretty little pearls so white
Glistening in the sea
Around a neck of purity
Surely she cannot harm me?
He thinks so sure, he thinks he is wise
So takes off his clothes and swims
She catches him with ease and now the story gets grim
The sailor dies unwittingly beneath the rocky waves
The maiden he had got too near, has torn his airways
He swims with the little fishes, in his deathly state
He will be a warning to others, not to make the same mistakes…
Is it possible for someone who has a disabled/unusable baby finger to find a piano tutor who’ll know how to work around that problem?
I have played the piano since I was five years old (at my grandmother’s house), but never done so properly, meaning, I don’t work well with both hands, I also can’t read music. I am self taught, play by ear, I want to learn how to read and write the music, so I can learn other complex songs quicker and so I can become a songwriter more effectively.
I’ve always wanted to write songs, but I don’t know how to read music. I understand I can learn how to read music without learning the piano, but I want to do both. I want to learn how to use my hands properly, despite the loss of use in the baby finger of the left hand.
When I was younger I was given a copy of cu-base and this helped me compose some tunes, but then I was without a computer for a while and my brother nicked the cu-based and sold it, ever since I’ve always wanted to do songwriting. I just lacked the courage to go to college about it, because I can’t play the piano professionally, or how people expect you to, also my left hand is slow and needs speed training.
I need the air that I breath, the waters to drink, the earth to nourish me and yet you think, you can do away with it all, with lust and money and greed and haul great wealth into your life, well, it’s a form of suicide is it not? When you rape the world and then let it rot.
Oh men of greed, you are in greater need, of being shown a newer way
Don’t forsake this earth of ours; listen before it’s too late.
Reap not for the benefit for yourselves, think of everyone
For someday this earth will die, because of people like you, the people I call scum.
I’m an alien sailing the mandala sea, seeking for a new home, or just a place to be
Her eyes shone beneath the moonlit sky
Raven haired and emerald eyed
My love for her means nothing
For she is deemed to stay with him
I cannot save her from the clutches of the grim
