Flying Vampire

I spread my wings and fly into the night

I soar past the moon and in my delight I dive

I dive, long and low, down, down towards the street

Brushing past strangers, I hear their hearts beat

I fly on up and up again

I wish this night will never end

I fly on until I reach a place

That brings the worst in me

For I hunger for fresh warm blood

It’s the only thing that sustains me

I reach out in the dead of night

I grab a person for a bite

I drink their blood and they can see

That I am nothing more than me

A vampire that lives dark and true

A vampire and killer through and through

Let’s hope someday I won’t kill you

Humans lost the plot

Ravens encircle around the sky bringing an atmosphere of fear to all who are near

My black wings fly with them, a dragon that is also feared

Tenderly I sail the sky with my black as coal wings

Gracefully I look down at all those beautiful things

I wonder what all the fuss is about

Me flying by today

Why are they shooting arrows upwards?

They’ll hurt me this way

Silly humans, they always fear of things that they do not know

If they took the time to learn

They’ll know I have places to go

I dream of a world where humans are taught

About things they don’t understand

So creatures like me, big or small

Can roam safe within this land

The world is shared with all but you

You think you own the lot

Well my dear humans I fear to say

You’ve quite lost the plot

Miniature angels

Fairies are like miniature angels, flying past us every day

Little wings glowing, sweet little fays

In the shadows they hide, under and behind rocks

Playing tricks on mortals, making us laughing stocks

Fairies are like angels, this much is true

I’ve a feeling you’ve met them, well maybe one or two

Sweet angel faces, happy little smiles

Why don’t you sit and meditate, and talk with them awhile?

Dreaming, playing, swimming, chasing, as little fairies do

Congregating on the top of a hanging horseshoe

Drinking, laughing, always dancing in the steepy glens

Come along and see them, and bring along your friends

Fairies are like angels as I have said before

A lot of fun you’ll have with them for they are not a bore

Fairies are like angels fluttering low and high

Sometimes when they hide they become midges in the summer sky

Angels are full of magic; they’ll take away your woes

For what better place to store them than down some rotten holes?
