I need to go

I need to wake from this mortal state

This mess this existence of pure pain

I cannot let it drive my soul insane

I need to be freed from these bonds of flesh

I need to go where life is fresh

Inspired by Nox Arcana – Take 1

We’ve found thee

Little mortal

We surround thee

Whispers in the wind cry unto thee

Our names are zephyr, breath and air

We will guide thee

Don’t be scared

Little mortal

Thou fain to see

The terrors that dost follow thee

Keep away from the water’s edge

And we’ll keep thou safe

The winds we pledge

Turn not away from our winsome calls

Turn back to us or thou shall fall

The cliffs are rendering nearer and near

Be warned little one

Dost thou hear?

Nay, ye do not and now you fall

Into ice cold waters creating a crimson pool

But we don’t give up

Nay not us

We’ll call to mankind from dusk till dawn

Never ceasing

Never forlorn

It is our duty

It is our pride

We are the winds and we are the tides

And our voice we never hide

Inspired by Nox Arcana after listening to their music from the album “carnival of lost souls”-“cries in the night”.  This is something that I pictured when hearing the music and I put it into a prose.

Beware the desert

The deserts are for the wretched, the fading and the numb

The deserts are for hiding if you are lowlife scum

The deserts they will make you parched

The deserts they will kill

The deserts are not friendly

And they never ever will

The deserts are for the lonely

The deserts are for the damned

The deserts are not for sheep

And the deserts are not for lambs

The desert is and always be

A place to test your mortality

A place to die

A place to cease

A place for hindrance

And decrease

Do not go there

Not alone

Not with someone

It’s dry as bone

The desert is quite empty

Of that you can be assured

The desert is a death trap

Your death will be procured

But if you insist

Then goodbye my friend

Into the sandy depths you’ll lie

For I am done convincing you

Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye

It’s not that I don’t love you

It’s not that I don’t love you
It’s just that to love you there is pain
I cannot sit around just loving you when you drive me so insane
There is a limit to what I can accept and to accept what you do, I cannot
For loving you is a hard job, leaving you is not
Though I agree once we were great
But then the time grew on
You got more possessive of me
You held me far too strong
I was suffocating under your surveillance
I was stifled by your warm arms
Enraptured by your innocence, your tenderness and charms
You do me no good, only harm
So I left you

Ravens up there

Ravens fly

Ravens high

Up there in the far blue sky

Diving here

Diving there

Flying circles in the air

Oh what comfort they give to me

Their bad reputation, it does deceive

For they’re just birds that fly on by

Whether black or blue like the sky

Forget me

I dream of the day that I am forgotten
Many people vex me so
Most people treat me though I am rotten
But people deny the truth did you know?
I am troubled by unsettled lives
Not my own but theirs
They watch my every move, each second
Warning me to beware
If I speak a word of truth, that’s it
Everyone comes knocking on my door
But they deny I tell the truth, claim I lie some more
Whilst they are around I can’t have a proper life
Their supporters don’t know they cause me strife
But no matter how far away I go
There’s always someone treading on my toes
From distant places, deep in my past
Their abuse isn’t local, but it still lasts
Indirectly it may be so
But they have other people you know?
So that is why I dream today
Of a time where I am mislaid
Why can’t people forget me now?
I’ve been gone for years, yet they still scowl
How sad their little lives must be
If all they can do, is still think of me

Goblin Market – Christina Rossetti

Christina Rossetti’s Goblin Market

One of my all-time favorite poems, though I cannot recite it from memory yet; this deserves to be in inspiration corner because of the beautiful haunting sceneries Rossetti sets up for the reader.

Goblins tempting young maidens to buy their fruits, though maidens must never buy fruits from goblin men lest they desire a dismal end; very inspiring in an artistic way too, for me. The times I have read this poem and thought, I wish I could do better art, I would paint these fruits and the goblin men in the market; but I do not have the skills to do that as of yet, that will be attempted in the future though.

This is my favorite as it is a fantasy poem and I think this review deserves to be on a site such as this, fantasyfed, don’t you?

shut up voice

I say go away to the voice in my head
For he annoying can be
Just shut up your moaning and stop all your droning
So I can get on with poetry

shadows of the brook

There is an effervescent brook running through the forest
Green shimmers along its bumpy waves and shadows of bygone days
Moss upon rocks gives shelter to life, frogs sit upon them and they know no strife
The cackles of the woodland tease and frolic during the day
Always happy and larking, always in play
The shadows of the brook is always this way

universal ocean

The universe is a black ocean

Full of twists and turns

How I love to swim in its darkness

And fly too close to the sun that burns
