I have been watching Vampire Diaries season one this week, I have just finished episode fourteen and I have to say, I am a little disappointed with the lack of vampire loyalty in the plot. Vampires seem to kill more vampires than they do people in this show and I have to ask, what is that all about? From what I know of vampires if they are not solitary creatures they are pack animals and I think that the writers here had a hard time trying to decide which type of vampire they wanted to write about. It is like they cannot decide whether they want a solitary vampire, a vampire twosome that has run away from the pack, or a pack style vampire story.
That’s my observation so far with the series.
Another observation is this, when are we going to get a TV series that concentrates purely on vampires rather than mortal/vampire romances and also throwing in werewolves, witches and other things into the equation too? When is this going to happen? When are we going to get a TV series where vampires have vampire relationships and there are no other supernatural beings but them?
I am waiting on that…
Shards of moonlight glimmer through the night forest canopy, silver lights my path towards the centre where the agaric grows and now at this midnight hour, I see them glowing. I hear little titters of laughter around me, gently little folk enter the toadstool circle and surround me. Smiling, cheerfully, welcoming me to their magic circle.
A young girl elf holds out her hand and greets me, smiles at her brother as she leads me to join hands and join in with the moon dance.
Merriment was made there that awesome night.
What a grand thing to be a witch.
I am going out of my mind with a body that won’t obey
I am being twisted up in all sorts of evil ways
The magic you weave around me, it will rebound on you
When you mess with evil magic, ensure you know what it is you do
It takes a witch to know one
And I know each and every one of you
So be aware my pretties for my demons are coming for you
I won’t be allowed to suffer, not anymore you’ll see
All the magic you’ve cast on me will rebound on you times three
As witches say, so mote it be
Turn the lights down, and come a little closer,
sit by the fire near me on this humid stormy night, and I will sing you a lullaby of nightmares gleaming bright.
Of vampires and witches and all evil beings.
You will be a feast for all creepy things:
So when you are tired and go up to bed turn off your light, then you will bleed to death!
For all immortals feast on you, because you carry their favorite food.
But do not fear of this ghastly plight, for you too will become like us tonight!
I mix my potions to make you love me
I have dreams that you’ll want me
I am hopeful that you’ll be mine
Forevermore to the ends of time
I can’t see another picture
My minds obsessed with your essence
Some say I have no conscience
But dutifully I build your shrine
Now I’m not one for love
But I do frequent the notion of a good old fashioned potion
To settle my lustful heart
Bespoke like an art to the individual man
To win him, I’ll do all that I can
Now gentlemen please, I must disagree that there’s an old romantic deep within me
For I am quite the dominatrix and to ensnare you I shall
With my hair of golden hues and parading au natural in the wistful whimsical night
I will enchant you to my hearts delight
I know you have a coven
And into a coffin they will fall
If you still try to mess with me
I’ll destroy you all
For it takes a witch to know one
And I know you all quite well
I ask you nicely right now
Get rid of your evil spells
For I am here awaiting
For you to turn around
And discontinue chanting
And leave me safe and sound
You should heed my warning
For I am ready for the fight
I will send all things back to you
Each and every night
So give up with your cursing
And surrender to my words
My spirits are much stronger
You stupid bastards
I love thunderstorms, even ones given to me via magick from certain people; though it’s not wise to play with the storms, especially as a witch can harness powers from them and blow it back Miss Scarlet, said; the Golden Witch one day.
She’s a witch, casting spells in the night
I saw her dancing with the devil in delight
I saw her too, said an old rickety man
She gave me gout after she spat in a can
And I too, said another in the back of the court
She gave me fits now my face is contort
She took my babe, barely weaning too
And where he is, I’ve not a clue
Aye, I saw a babe in arms, killed by the devils charm
In yonder wood, I saw a fleeing from it a woman in a hood
There’s the witch, there, there
They pointed accusingly
All the fingers outstretched were pointing towards me
I was lynch mobbed and nothing I could do
Would save me from this preview
They were wretched and afraid
And very dismayed by the events unfolding in town
They knew there was a witch to be had, but she couldn’t be found
So it was me, the prettiest one
The one with long golden hair
I was the witch this time round
And whether I was innocent or not, they didn’t care
So I was took to the gallows and strangled to death
And just as I took one last breath, onto a fire I was thrown
Nobody cried that day for me, I died all alone
But there will be another girl someday in the near future
Whose fate will be the same as mine and fate will find her and suture her demeanor, until bad luck has ceased
Or maybe never it will cease
Maybe this will be a continuous flow of innocent murders by the townsfolk who think they are doing godly works
Instead they just act like jerks
